This group of pieces also have an aperture that alters the perceived pattern. This arrangement affords matrix programming where connections of the light are visible. Some use sound recognition, so they can display different patterns based on volume and frequency of the environment. In matrix programming, the individual pixels are aware they are in a pattern so you can mimic entirely new kinds of motion. The artist Jim Campbell inspired me, he created video projectors that instead of the hundreds of thousands of individual pixels we are accustomed to he reduced them to dozens.
