Doors of Lisbon

A trip to Europe can be an opportunity to see life from a different perspective. Doubly so after being shut-in for the past year and a half. We were so happy to have chose Portugal. Starting first in Lisboa. This amazing city has so much that inspired me, but it was the architecture and especially doors that caught my attention. The general all purpose Home Depot door that pervades our residential and commercial Architecture emphasizes function over form. In these examples form takes precedence. The general age is unknown, but being a Chicagoan, I assume we also have a similar history, and yet, our buildings still seem too connected to the utilitarian.
